In light of recent events, many are searching for online music lessons for kids or even adults who are looking to spend their newfound spare time learning. Butler Music is proud to have recently brought our in-person strings lessons online, with availability to students not only within the Orlando area, but around the country.
How It Works
What was once (and can be again in the future) a visit to the Butler home is now a simple logging into our virtual music lesson platform. To keep it easy and familiar for both students and parents, we use the popular Zoom application to video conference with each other.
You may opt for 30-minute or 1-hour online music lessons, from the comfort of your home. Prior to starting, we’ll have you order specific music books or download learning materials to have prepared for the lesson. Don’t forget, you’ll need to have your instrument on hand, too! If you don’t own a violin, viola, or cello, we have recommendations for renting one.
The Teacher
Teaching music at public schools and privately for 30 years and counting, Karen Butler is our lead online music teacher. She brings her expertise in music theory, strings, and pedagogy to the classroom — whether it’s physical or virtual — creating a safe and attentive learning environment for her students young and old.
Virtual Viola and Violin Lessons
Specializing in online violin lessons and viola lessons, Karen brings a proven method to her strings classes and students. Her comprehensive curriculum includes skills and topics from beginner through advanced levels, including reading music, how to hold the instrument, bowing technique, and more.
